Quiet and vibration-free

The Whisper-T pottery wheel design is based on the advanced model RK-3E, a top-class wheel. It uses the most modern direct drive technology. The motor is located directly below the wheelhead and is directly connected to it without using any gears, belts, gearbox, etc. Thanks to this design, Whisper-T is vibration-free when throwing, tractive force does not drop even at low speeds, reacts quickly and is extremely quiet - only 30 dB. 

Height adjustment

You can adjust the working height of the Nidec Shimpo Whisper-T using the adjustable feet. If necessary, you can use the ceramic wheel as a desktop model or place it on the floor. The height can be adjusted to: 465, 495, 525, 555 and 585 mm.

Speed control

The pottery wheel is plugged into a conventional electrical socket (230 V), has low energy  consumption (300 W), and its design is energy efficient. The wheelhead is driven by direct connection and the wheelhead speed is stepless regulated by the foot pedal from 0 to 250 rpm. The rotation direction of the wheelhead can be changed using a switch - set it clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on how you are accustomed. The pottery wheel has electronic overload protection to prevent damage.

 

Aluminium wheelhead, table for tools and cleaning

The wheelhead is made out of light aluminum alloy with a diameter of 300 mm and is equipped with centering grooves. The advantage of the Whisper-T ceramic wheel is the free spin of the wheelhead at zero speed. As a result, the wheelhead can be used as a decorative turntable for ceramics. The wheel is equipped with a table for bowl with water and pottery tools. The table is removable, easy to carry and store. The pottery wheel is very stable with its weight of 40 kg and the tripod construction. Included is a two-piece splash pan, which is equipped with a quick-release system. Therefore, the splash pan can be easily removed for cleaning without tools. It is made out of durable smooth plastic, so it is easy to wash. When cleaning the wheelhead, it is easy to remove it with the Allen key supplied.
